Lavender Pearl Planter with Drainage
This is a lovely little planter, with mists of lavender and blue green swirling through the warm transparent glaze. It would work beautifully outdoors on a small patio or balcony, or indoors on a desk or shelf. This stoneware planter is a nice size for succulents, small houseplants, or maybe even some herbs.
DIMENSIONS
This pot stands 4 inches tall, and its about 3.75" wide at the lip. At the base, it measures about 4.5" across. This planter has 2 holes for drainage, and an attached drainage plate.
All of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.
This piece was thrown on my potters wheel using a blend of stoneware clay. I used a rubber rib to add some swirl marks in the clay, adding some interest to the clays surface. The outside of the planter, and the top of the drainage plate, was glazed in Micro Crystal Pearl glaze. The inside was left unglazed. This piece was fired in reduction to cone 10 (around 2300°F).
