Tenmoku Black and Brown Textured Planter

$40.00

This Tenmoku Black and Brown Planter has a bold look that could work well indoors or out. It's perfect for a patio or balcony, or a inside on a countertop or a desk. The rich warm blacks and browns of the planter will blend with many types of decor, and will make a lovely backdrop for a succulent or any leafy green plant.

DIMENSIONS
This planter stands 4 1/2 inches tall, and its about 4 3/4" wide at the lip. At the base, it's about 5" across the bottom. It has 2 drainage holes about the size of a bean, which drain into the attached drainage galley.

All of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe, unless otherwise noted.

This pot was thrown on my potters wheel using a blend of stoneware clay. I used slip (clay blended smooth with water) to brush on some texture around the outter walls of the planter. The lip of this piece was glazed using Goldspot glaze. The outside of the plater was glazed in Tenmoku, which is brown where the glaze is thin, and black where it pools and is thicker. The glaze really highlights to texture around the belly of the planter. The inside of the piece was left unglazed.
