True Blue Textured Vase with Black Interior
This True Blue Textured Vase would look gorgeous holding a few red roses, or any flowers with a bright or bold hue. The strong deep blue color would blend with many decors, and could add a bold blue pop to a bookcase or desk. It's a nice medium size, perfect for a small bouquet.
DIMENSIONS
This vase stands 7 inches tall, and measures 3" across lip. It's about 3 1/2" wide at the widest part of the belly, and 2 1/2" wide at the base.
All of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe unless otherwise specified.
This piece was thrown using cone 5 Laguna Bmix clay. The texture was created by applying a layer of Bmix slip (a watered down white clay) on top of the pot and dragging a jagged brush through the wet slip as it was slowly spinning on the potters wheel. The vase was glazed with Black glaze on the inside and lip of the vase. The outside is glazed in my True Blue glaze, a transparent light green blue that allows the texture to subtly shine through.
