Peacock Green Textured Vase

$32.00

This bold and beautiful Peacock Green Vase is the perfect home for a small bundle of flowers. It's not too big or too small, and has a neck generous enough for a few different types of stems.  The deep blue green color makes a gorgeous backdrop for flowers, or the vase can be a small but bold accent all on its own.

The vase stands 6 inches tall, and it's 2 3/4" wide at the lip.  Across the widest part of the belly it measures about 3 1/2".

All of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe, unless otherwise noted.

This vase was created on my potter's wheel using cone 5 BMix clay. Using a jagged brush, I painted a thick layer of slip (clay and water that's been blended smooth) to create the texture on the piece. I drug the rounded end of a small rib through the wet slip as the wheel quickly spun, to add a dynamic swirl through the slip texture. The interior of this vase was glazed with a glossy black glaze, and the exterior was glazed in my peacock green glaze, which subtly breaks over and pools around the ridges from the slip.
